LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty is limited to the first two years and is extended to the original purchaser ONLY provided that they register their Alinker® bike on the website, together with its unique serial number which can be located on the back of the fork of each Alinker, and is illustrated on the registration page, together with the owner’s name and the address. Only when this registration is completed, the warranty is valid. This warranty is not transferrable and is limited to 24 months from date of purchase.
This warranty covers both construction and/or material defects as well as corrosion to the extent that it follows from this warranty. The following are covered by this warranty:
1. Alinker® frames as well as all other components are warranted for construction an/or material defects for 2 years except as limited in Paragraph 2.
2. Limitations to warranty
2.1 The paintwork of the frame and fork are warranted for a period of 2 years for corrosion from the inside only.
2.2 The following parts that are vulnerable to corrosion, such as tires, brake pads and cables are excluded from warranty unless such constitution is due to construction and/or material defects.
2.3 For corrosion on the remaining paint and chrome parts, a warranty for a period of 2 years applies, if well maintained and user instructions are followed.
3. Warranty exclusions include normal wear and tear as well as:
3.1 In the following cases the warranty doesn’t apply: a. Incorrect and/or careless use of the walking bike or use that’s not in accordance with the destination, including exceeding the maximum load during use; b. The walking bike is not maintained in accordance with this information or these instructions; c. Technical repairs have not been performed competently; d. Afterwards assembled parts do not match the technical specifications of the walking bike or are incorrectly fitted; e. If proof of ownership, showing that the walking bike is expertly assembled and checked before it was delivered to the customer, is not present or not signed by an Alinker® recognized dealer.
3.2 The Company explicitly excludes damages to (parts of) the walking bike as a result of: a. Faulty adjustment/tension of the handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post, brakes, quick release of the wheels and saddles; b. Failure to replace parts such as brake cables, brake pads, tires etc. timely; c. Climatological influences such as normal weathering of paint or chrome rust.
4 Warranty on parts and components:
4.1 Company will determine in its reasonable professional judgment whether defects are due to material and/or construction defects are during the warranty period and will repair, reimburse or replace said defects at its sole discretion. Any labor costs of (dis)assembly shall be borne by the owner.
4.2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, concerning material and/or construction defects on frames and forks, the wages are paid by the manufacturer as well for a period of 2 years after the date of purchase.
4.3 Transportation costs of the walking bike and/or components to/from The Alinker® Inventions Ltd. are on behalf of the owner, unless the relevant part is covered by the warranty
4.4 If a particular component is eligible for warranty and the original part is no longer available, The Company will at its sole discretion provide the closest equivalent alternative.
5 Filing a claim
5.1 Claims under this warranty – under offer of the bike or the relevant part – need to be filed through the Alinker® dealer who sold the owner the bike or if purchased over the internet directly with the Company. Simultaneously, the proof of purchase as well as the proof of ownership delivered with the bike needs to be handed to the dealer.
5.2 If the owner has moved or when the dealer is no longer available, The Company. will request the claim be directed to Company and at Company’s sole discretion to the nearest Alinker® dealer. Article
6 Liability
6.1 Acknowledgement by Company of receipt of a claim is shall not constitute acceptance of liability. In no case shall liability extend beyond that provided for herein.
6.2 All claims for consequential damage are expressly excluded unless explicitly allowed by applicable statutes.
